What fish would go good with 4 danio zebras?

I have 3 zebras right now (cycling) and when its ready i want to get at least 1 more (for a bigger group) and 1 more other fish for variety... So what single fish would go good with 4 diano zebras in a odd shaped 9 gallon? (tall and narrow)

I know these zebras are very active and the just chase each other around and nip at eachother...


Or would getting 2 different fish be fine? i just heard that the zebras like to be in bigger groups so... maybe dwarf chichlids?

No dwarf cichlid, they like bigger tanks with more surface/bottom area, and your nine gallon wierd tall shaped tank will not be suitable.

I would recommend maybe 2 female platies. Make sure they are female since males could be agressive.

Or you could try another small live bearer such as the ever so popular guppy.

will my zebras chase them around? will they mind?
 
I don't think they will mind.

Zebras are very active, but rarely agressive, in my experience.

I would recommend the platys over the guppys if you worry that the zebras will stress out the fish.

maybe cherry barbs, 1-3 of those, they add color, and ive had cheery barbs with 6 danios for 3 weeks and they were awsome together. U can also get an albino cherry barb for something different
 
I have 6 x Zebra Danio in my tank and the only fish they bother are themselves - crazy little things!!!
 
you could add a couple other danios of different colors -gold danios, for example, look nice with the zebras.
But I agree with Winterwind. The fish are very active, and like to chase, but I've never seen any of my danios actually nip the fin of another, so anything that wouldnt be stressed from being chased would work just fine IME.
