So i went to flordia this week and went to visit this place called monkey jungle. I wasnt expecting to come across any kind of fish but i did notice a decent sized pond. Upon looking in i was sort of shocked to see the fish i saw. I saw millions of cichlids, 3-5 pacus, a few oscars, some HUGE koi's, and tons and tons of small fish( not sure what kind )... I wonder how they can have some of these fish just chilling in this pond where monkeys jump in. I guess since its in flordia their outside weather will stay to a nice tropical temperature but i never expected to see these types of fish thrown in a pond. Needless to say it was awesome but i was thinking that they might be a pretty tight fit for all of them. But man i wish i could have all those cichlids in a pond to look at. Regardless on weither or not they are overstocked i thought i would share a few of these pictures for a visual. I had to shrink these pictures ALOT since orignally the pictures are 1600 x 1200 pixels so if you have a hard time seeing them im sorry i could send you a link to the full image size but i think these will due.

That's really cool! Monkeys and fish. Great combo. So I guess the monkeys aren't fish lovers(consumers) then.

Well, I don't know of any primates(other than us) that do use aquatic food as a staple in their diet.

But maybe some do????

Wow!
Thanks for posting....

Guess I could look it up, but where in Monkey Jungle?
My guess is it's miles south of Orlando, since that pond would not survive our (weak) Winter. Unless it's heated.

You go to a monkey pond and photograpgh the fish :soda: That is pretty crazy though...Don't pacus have pretty big teeth? I hope the monkeys don't become lunch :shark:

That's so neat:) Thank you for sharing. Cute monkies:D
