Just wondering what is the best way to store a tank when not in use. It is a 10g QT tank. I know it should not be kept in sunlight, but anything else to keep it in good shape? Thanks :D

When I moved from town to town with small empty tanks I found cardboard boxes slightly larger than the tanks themselves and packed all gaps with wadded-up newspaper pages.

I suppose you could even go ask the pet store for the box and styrofoam a tank like your came in originally.

Overkill probably, but at least you know it's really safe.

How long are you going to be storing it? If it would be a for several months or more you could put scotch or othertype of tape from one corner diagonally to the other one and so on with all the corners so that way if if were to be cracked, it will save you time on cleaning up the glass.
