I thought for sure I was losing this particular coral because it was getting some receding tissue in a pretty decent sized area. I moved it off of the sand and put it on a pile of rubble. Did this about the same time as adding some more lighting. Been about 1 1/2 months since then it now it's got six small plates growing off of the exposed skeleton. Anyways, I'm not even sure if it's a big deal or not but I'm proud of it. Here's some pics.

if thats the case, wow! congrats trips... i didn't know they spread like mushrooms (thats what it looks like it did).

Seems pretty cool to me. I wonder if they just sprouted from little bits of tissue that were left behind.

Are you going to frag them or leave them be?

Just going to leave them alone and see what happens. To be honest I wouldn't even now how to begin going about fragging them. From what I've read as long as the stay healthy they should drop off onto the substrate when they are ready.

I did not know that is how that worked... I wondered.. I have a new pink tipped plate and I would love for it to have little babies. Congratulation!! How long have you had it?
