I hooked up an auto topoff system to my 24g tank, it's the kind that turns on/off power to a powerhead that then pumps water through airline tubing into the main tank.
Anyhow, right now I have a tubberware container holding my RO/DI freshwater that gets automatically pumped into my tank. I dont have a heater or powerhead in there so the water just sits still all day and a few times daily about 1/4 cup is auto pumped to my tank.
I was wondering if I need the water to be circulating in the tubberware or if I should put an airstone in there or heater. Since so little of the freshwater is getting put into the tank each day I was wondering if any of these were necessary. Thanks for the advice.
