Hi everybody. I have the Eheim Professional 2 (2060). Has anybody greased the primer (syphon starter)? Can you explain concisely how it's done? Say the instructions: "Use flattened cotton bud to grease bed of sealing ring with vaseline." The context is primer maitenance. I don't see a sealing ring on the bottom of the canister head-- where is it and how do you get to it?
Thanks alot!

no good way IMO

I've not yet found a good way to do it, a q-tip flattened still hardly gets into that groove, it is impossible to see exactly what is to be lubed. I tried a pipe cleaner but it bends too easily. All I know is that you need to keep jabbing a lubed q-tip in that circular groove, then push the primer until it seems lubed.

Good luck.

Thank you very much. What about the ball and spring in the visual flow gauge-- How do you disassemble and reassemble? Also, what bio-medium did you choose? All the best.
