last night I found a white fuzz like stuff on my pleco. It looks like a little snow fell on his head or perhaps like the top of his head is peeling.

He is just getting over Ich and I am in my last few days of treating him for Ich. No more signs but I have 2 or 3 more days of treatment to let him get 100%, and kill all the remaining ich.

He is in a ten gallon Hospital tank right now, alone. No carbon in the filter due to the Ich Treatment. I turned the heat up to 82-84 degrees F. He's on Day 5 and I've changed the water for him 2 times.

The levels are as shows

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate - 5.0
PH - 6.6

Can anyone help identify what the white fuzz may be.

What are you using to treat the ich?

The only effective means of treating ich, is through using the 'salt' treatment. Read this article carefully to learn how ick behaves, but also how to eliminate it from your aquarium. The article was written by Dave, a very respected figure on these forums; and a life saver of some of our most precious fish.

Dave's 'Ich" treatment article (http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39759)

Good Luck,

BTW, feel free to ask if you get lost, or have any questions regarding how to go about using the salt treatment.
