I have a 55 gallon freshwater tank that I recently set up. I was wondering down the line how hard it would be to change it over to saltwater. I have a emperor 400 filter...would I be able to keep this as well as the tahetian moon sand I have in there now? Any help is appreciated.

It's really a lot to try and sum up... a few of us here have just recently made the switch, IME it's not so much difficult as requiring a different way of thinking about the hobby (and a decent chunk of money). I felt like I was starting from scratch - there are some basics that SW and FW share, but many aspects of SW were new to me, even after years of FW experience. I'd suggest lurking on forums and Googling anything you're curious about. It's absolutely worth it, and I'm having a blast, but it's been a period of pretty intense studying too
