PC + Glass Canopy = ??

I was thinking last night about wether or not a glass top would impead the performance of PC lights?

I know that some of the suns natural waves do not go through some glass because of either coatings on the glass or just because it is a surface.

So my question is, does anyone know if glass would impead some of the light frequencies (that are benificial to coral growth) from getting through?

It will block a little UV, but it won't really affect the spectrum. Refraction will cost you a little light, more if you're not diligent about keeping the lid clean.
