I finally had set up my 20g long about a week ago. the plants and specs are such are listed in the "my fish" part. the ferts i've been using are flourish and flourish root tabs and they seem to be doing a fine job because there is a lot of new growth on everything, I have seen the pearling effect underneath all of my leaves every day and my anubia even had a flower, but I cut it off to promote growth since its very bare still. anyway! what other kind of ferts am I going to need because I want to put an order in from big als for all of that. just yesterday I realized my pH gets WAY low at night so since I can not turn off my co2 system I just increased surface agitation by turning up my filter. good idea or bad?

Since you have a light fishload in the 20 and if your water consistently reads no nitrates detectable, you'll want to dose nitrates as well.

Plants burn through potassium very quickly, partly because there isn't a constant source of potassium like phosphate and nitrate, so its a good idea to have some around, especially if you start to notice BBA algae.

What are you nitrate levels? How much light do you have?
