Now that AC is back up, I want to share some pictures with all of you and let you know how things went! I got married on the 16th, then we honeymooned in Moorea and Bora bora (which means I came home with 718 pictures on my digital camera, 2 full underwater cameras, and a photo CD from our underwater helmet dive!) So, I’m thinking I’ll start a separate thread or two for pictures :D

So, whew. I don’t even know where to start! I guess I’ll start with the wedding :D ! That morning, I woke up so sick – and to top it off, our alarm didn’t go off and we had 7 minutes to pack all the hotel room, check out, and get to the salon. I was so nauseated. It was not the start I had envisioned to the day. We had to make numerous “road side stops,” shall we say, on the way there. I then started thinking “I can’t believe this is happening to me today” and that made me cry hysterically (coupled with the most intense stomach cramps of my life!). I couldn’t stop, so I then started hyperventilating, which in turn made me more nauseous, etc. My photographer had to keep giving me hugs and helping me to breathe…poor woman. Looking back, it’s sort of funny though, so at least now I’ll have a story. I was so out of it that they made chris come down and try to make me feel better (but I wasn’t in my dress, so it was kind of okay). I made it through the ceremony without running out for a trashcan, though, so that’s nice! :D I didn’t even do my makeup on my wedding day, though….or all the girls like I was supposed to.

Once I got up there and saw Chris, I felt better and was a little more composed. But then he started shedding a few tears and that made me cry – and then everybody there started crying!! I bet it was a sight :p ! It was really nice though and the day was just beautiful.

I couldn’t eat anything at the reception but chris told me the food was good shrug. The boys all looked super handsome in their tuxes, and the girls were just gorgeous in their gowns. Everyone had a blast. They loved the string quartet and the DJ was a riot. He was up there shaking his russian tush with all the girls teaching them the macarena, electric slide, and the chicken dance. It was a very, very funny sight to see his little round hiney doing the macarena. He had brought yellow-feathered chicken masks with him and forced everyone to wear them. Oh la la.

It was nice to have everyone in one room at the same time, too. You never get everyone together like that at any other time, usually. It was nice to see the best man, my bridesmaid, and our flowergirl, too… (my friend married chris’ best friend and they had the flower girl). They moved to FL last year though, so we don’t ever see them.

At the close of the reception, we were sent off from the main porch on a horse drawn carriage ride…it was beautiful (and hot!).

After, we came back and fell asleep around 7 o'clock hahah. We were so beat.

We don’t get our photographer's pictures back for a little while, but I’ll post a few when w get those. I’m going to start a honeymoon picture thread here in a little bit.

On a pet note, while we were gone our hamster Oscar died:(. He was getting old but I wish he could have waited until I was home. And, when we got back last night, the fish looked okay, but this morning, our beautiful platinum gourami was dead! She looked fine last night when I fed her :(. And, it appears that despite being on a functioning timer, the two 10g planted tanks did not have lights the whole time we were gone…have yet to figure that out.

Here is the bridal party, looking sharp. This was just a snapshot from a bridesmaid’s mother’s camera. Not the greatest, and shrinking it did a number on clarity, but you get the idea.

I'm going to start putting together a post of honeymoon pics.

Sounds like a good wedding. The 'blips' are always the fun part, though never at the time! Congratulations--very pretty--and you look happy! :)

Congratulations Leopardess! :thm:
I'm glad you made it through all right!

Sorry to hear about Oscar...I'm afraid I may have to go through that soon myself. I have a really cool black bear hamster named Puck and I guess he is older than I thought since I tried to breed him and the female never got pregnant, he must be sterile. :(

Congrats on your wedding!!! I know that it has been a while in the making. Hope you two have a great life together.

I am glad AC came back up so you could share the story with us. Congratulations. The pics are great.

Thank you so much everyone:)

Tuolumne - I think it could have been both. Maybe I was feeling a little sick and then the nerves compounded it? I didn't feel nervous....but who knows.

I knew Oscar was coming down to his last while here because he didn't use his wheel anymore and had developed cataracts in his eyes, but I was still sad that he died while I was gone and didn't give a proper goodbye:( He was a little over 3 years old, I think. And before we left, I had just bought him a whole new bag of food and bedding:(

I loved my dress:D I wish you could see it better - the sun sort of washed it's details out. It's all pearled and sequined across the front, and down onto the tulle also. And, it's not on in the picture, but I had a Cathedral length veil that went a few feet past my dress! It was so beautiful!:)

Thank you everyone:)
