Seen these cute guys at the lfs, got a couple hoping they will help with my snail problem. Any one have any?

I don't have any but I certainly will as soon as I set up my 29 gallon tank! I am jealous, I haven't seen any at my LFS :) How many did you get? You should keep them in groups of at least 3, 5 is better. I believe any of the botia spp. will help with snail control. Good luck and have fun :)

I've got a pack of 4 of them. They really liven up the tank, always on the lookout for scraps of food. They love pond snails too. I can dump 20 snails in there and they'll be dead within a couple hours between the loaches and cichlids.

BTW, what kind of plant is that in the pic? I have some of that too, and my loaches love playing in it. I've been calling it "creeping hygro" due to the way it grows, but I haven't ID'd it yet.

I'm not really sure, and I can't trust the micky mouse lfs to tell me. lol
