i got rid of the ick on all the other fish including the plec and now the plec has it again any suggestions

How did you treat it and how long did you continue treatment after the last signs of ich were gone? If you stopped treatment too soon then that's likely the problem. Were any new fish introduced since the treatment? Daveedka's ich article on this site is excellent and worth a read.
