The temp in the tank has been up to 90F for about 80 hours now. There is still trophant visible on one of the fish.
How long, do you suppose, before it all drops off?
The choclate gouramis seem to be quite happy in the warm temp. They are normally at 86.
Would increasing the heat to 92F help?Thank you.
Iam also using salt approx 2t/gal and will continue this for a week or two after I see no more ich on the fish.

thanks,One otto one snail. they seem fine
mystery snail.

I would suggest not raising the temperature any higher.

Don't get discouraged, it will die off eventually (with some heat and salt, of course!). As to how long it takes, I think it depends on a myriad of factors. Just hang in there and I suspect within a day or two it should start disappearing.

I didn't measure how long, but I had visible cysts on some rainbowfish for quite a few days after beginning treatment.

thanks Leapardess
