can convicts be ok if kept in very hard water, most places say soft but i did not know if they could be acclimated to deal with the hardness?

another question.... will chinese algae eaters eat the slime coat off my other fish? I plan to keep him well fed and happy but will he do it anyway??

How hard is very hard?

chinese algae eaters tend to get more aggresive as they get older. There is a VERY good chance that at some point, and it may be early, in their lives they wil go after the slimecoat of your other fish. The wider the body of the fish, the more likely it will be.

umm the water is as hard as the water can get. I live in central IN and the water is VERY Hard, according to my test strips it is between 250-300. I am not sure about the measurement but i am sure someone will know.

Also how long do botias get/?
