This link will show some pics of my tank. you can also see the hood I built. it came out pretty good, but the only draw back is that now all of my friends want me to build them one! (ha). I see that some of the people on this site put pics right in the post. how is that done. I only know how to put a link to picture trail whioch doesn't stay free for long. any suggestions? Oh, well let me know what you guys think of my tank.

Hey, welcome to AC!
What part of Va. Beach are you from? I used to live there, back when I was a Navy brat. I still miss living there, but my farm town in the Midwest is nice, too.
Those are great tank pictures, can you build me a hood? (J/K)
Again welcome, and I'm glad to see a fellow VBer, or whatever we call ourselves, on the board!

Whatre you using for lighting? It looks very nice and vibrant.
interesting idea on the canopy. does the top open?

Very nice set-up!
Nice driftwood too....
On PictureTrail you need to click on 'more options' then select the #1.
That lets you post pics to auctions and other sites.. :)

nice set up! what do have in their peacock bass?? also what are you using for filtration??

Yes, i have three peacoks. here's the list:
3 peacocks
2 salvini
1 convict ( a bass ate the female)
1 jewel (a bass ate the female( do you see a pattern?)
2 fossil cats
2 spotted raphael cats
1 lima shovel nose
1 pike cichlid
2 clown loach
2 pimodella pictus cats
and a few struggling feeder shiners.

the filtration is 2 AC 500's and 1 Rena XP3. also a couple of hagan 300 gph power heads to move things around abit.

are the plants alive? if they are fake can you tell me the names and where you got them?

socom, they are live but the plants in there now will stay healthy with virtually any light. anubias nana, java fern and java moss.
