I have a passion for Betta's. I hate seeing them in those little bowls. One local pet store keeps them in aquariums. I about died when I walked into this one fish store. They had lots of fish and I wondered around looking for Betta's. Well I found them... Some were in the little cups, but there were a lot of them in just small plastic bags! The little bags barely had any water in them! I wanted to cry! Has anyone else seen this? Maybe they just got a new shipment in, but gee whiz!

Yeah, that's how the betta come to the store...in those bags with very little water. The reason for the small amount of water is to allow for more air in the bag during shipping. That store probably just got those bettas in and hadn't yet put them in the cups.

That's probably the case. I did see a store in Ar thought that kept them in bags hanging on the wall. For that and other reasons it was hands down the scariest pet store I have ever entered.

Wow! I don't like it at all. I saw one shipment come into a different store and they were just in the small cups. I would have never dreamed that they would be stuffed in to a bag!

Most aquarium fish are transported in bags. Not really a whole lot of options as far as shipping a fish goes. I'm sure they use the best possible method they know of because it isn't beneficial for them not to. The strong healthy fish survive it....those that are less than healthy, usually don't....survival of the fitest
