OK, I'm a real newbie, so please bear with me, as I started reading in this forum AFTER the tank was setup. Anyway, here's my situation. I don't know much about cycling, or if I even did it. I got a 75 gallon tank, put gravel and fake plants (and a couple of small decorations) in it, and hooked up and turned on a Marineland Magnum 350 with carbon filter. I waited a week (not sure if that was long enough, but what's done is done), then added a heater and tested the PH. The next day (Thursday, 9-22-05), I added fish. The fish are all small, ranging from slightly less than an inch to slightly over an inch or so. They are two shark catfish, one unknown catfish, two jack dempseys, a spotted pleco, a red devil, an orange girami, a clown loach, and two striped fish that look like the loach, but are not loaches. I feed them flakes I got from the petshop twice per day. All was fine until yesterday (Saturday), it started to cloud up. It's not very cloudy, but still shows. Is this normal? Will it go away on its own? Did I do I a lot wrong (I feel I did)? Suggestions? Please help!

Yes, read the sticky on cycling and do a water change while you're reading! Lots of water changes will be needed in the coming weeks...

:D

Also, can you figure out exactly what the "shark catfish" and the other unknowns? are? It sounds like your mix of fish is not going to work out long term (as in some will be eaten/attacked  !!)

Which ones won't mix right? So far, it's been over two weeks and they are all getting along very well. Strangely, the water has also cleared by itself too. Will post a pic shortyly. :)
