That is what the man at the LFS called it. Looks like an eel.
I cant believe that my son talked me into it. Its UGLY and
reminds me of a snake.

At any rate, there were obviously feeder fish in the tank
when i bought him, but i don't want to go that route and
the man said that if i got sinking shrip pellets or something
it would eat that. Well i havent seen it eat anything at all.
It has lunged at my ( tiger barbs) a few times but no
way could he fit them in his mouth. ( yet )
Do fish get accustomed to eating feeder fish and not
eat pellets or will he eventually get hungry enough to
eat them. I dont know what to do now.

Any suggestions would be great, and thanks in advance!

From what I've read about these fish, they do eat other fish, brine shrimp, and shrimp pellets. It's offical name is 'Violet Goby'. I believe that they prefer brackish water, but I haven't researched them enough to know if anyone has had them in different water conditions. A google search on 'violet goby' turned up alot of hits.
