The best way to avoid it is to avoid splash, which mostly means avoiding fizz. No airstones, careful with overflows and venturis.
Ok, that actually makes sense.. I have a bubble wall running in my existing tank, but when I move everythign over to my new tank I am thinking leaving that out. On top of the salt build up, it causes my filter to suck up air, and causes it to make loud noises.
How much air should be put into the water? Should the filters alone stir up the water enough to add oxygen?
