For A while now, My tank has had this out-of-the-ordinary white algae in it. I use the scrubber with all my might but it will not come off. It feels rough. I actually tried an old credit card but it clung to the walls. My otocinclus won't touch it, and its only a 10 gallon so I can't get anything like a plecostemous. The oto's pig out on the green algae, but NOTHING will make the white stuff go away! Any suggestions?
The water parimeters are normal.
0.5 ammonia
0ppm nitrite
pH 7.8
0.8 nitrate

Thanks!

Perhaps its Calcium build ups. Are they present near the top of your aquarium glass
or on your glass top?

The best way to get rid of this is by using vinegers. Use a paint brush or something to rub vineger onto the Calcium, wait a few minutes, and wash it off with water.
If its on your side glass, do this when you change your water next time so you don't have to contaminate your aquarium with vineger.

They are on the side glass. and I often only change 25% of my ten gallons. I would have to change about 80% in order do get down to the buildup. That would be difficult because I only have one bucket and I have 7 fish currently.
