heres the situation, i have 2 green spotted puffers, acclimated to salt, they love it. i need to find a good feeder snail for pufferfish, prefferably salt. i have bred many fresh snails. its not hard, but their pretty slow growers and die on contact with saltwater, so if they puffers dont find them right off the bat they sink to the botom n die.

the 2 gsp's have beaks and need small crustations n snails to trimm them.
:look:
i need a:

cheap
pleantyfull
thin shelled
snail

or anything similar which can be bred or bought.

if possible please leave a species.

ive thought about going to the beach and picking up some shore snails.. and attempting to breed them. inorder to have a shelled food for the GSP.

thanks in advance :)

IPSF.com sells "strombus" snails, which are actually a species of columbellid that will breed in SW aquaria. May not breed fast enough for you, though. You might find someone who has an infestation of pyramidellids on their clams, they will be happy to give you several hundred, I'm sure.
