This is what we needed...I think this should be sticky'd!!! I use frapper on a couple other places and love it...adding myself right now, and for all those you must fill out the shoutout field lol enjoy!

kveeti - I didn't get it at first either. It just shows you as not coming up...until you scroll down and it says please enter a shoutout. I had nothing to shout, but I guess you have to put something!

It keeps telling me that my city is invalid! I've tried all sorts of permutations...even using Edmonton.
DebraMark, how did you get it to accept Lethbridge if it won't recognize Edmonton?
Edit: Nevermind, it was a glitch with Safari. I tried it with Firefox and had some success...it wouldn't recognize the town I live in, so I had to list Edmonton. :cool:

The Writer's love it! I was wondering if there was a way to edit the shoutouts too. And if you could add your pic.
Someone cussed on his shout out, and I'd like to remove it.

WOW, I just zoomed in all the way on mine, It's got me a block away from where I work! I noticed this map is out dated, the railway line near my house was torn out 10 years ago!! And there's some new streets in the last few year that didn't make it on.
Close up on mine puts me so close to my house it's scary.

I kept changing my pic....lol....only, you can't change the pic without adding another shoutout....so, I have 4 or 5 "Howdys" on my page....!
The first pic I put up was one of me, but then I noticed that it tells what town I live in....hhmm...not sure I want my pic up online along with my home town....
Folks keep that in mind before adding your pic....
My dot on the map lands just one neighborhood North of mine! Would take me about 10 minutes to walk to that red dot.... :)

I can only delete people, and people can redo them. Other than that, I don't think there's another way.

It put me int he middle of a school playground about a 1o min drive from my house...but what it looks like it's doing is putting the marker in the middle of the center of the zip code area. Pretty impressive if you think about it.

That's correct. It takes your zip code, gets the total space and finds the exact center according to satellite coordinates.

When you consider it's global, that's darn good....even scarey. If I gave them my street addy they could probably read my newsprint if I was out on the deck..:eek:

With a live satellite and a super zoom you can. But most can only see things a min of 3m. It can see smaller things but it comes hard to make out.
