Red planaria outbreak

In a matter of about a week, I have had an outbreak of red planaria that has now overwhelmed my 90g tank. The only change pre/post was the passing of a cleaner shrimp, but I have had several folks tell me these creatures don't eat planaria.

Any suggestions as to how to cut the population to a controlable level, and then what creature(s) would help control?
