I was @ the lfs looking @ 6 foot glass tanks for that infinite field of view effect but for the price of 1 you can get 3 four foot tanks. & the four foot 75gallon are only 1/4 inch glass(lighter) @ 90(gal) they switch to 1/2" glass .Can you imagine lugging around a 1/2 " 6 ' long tank .I think ile go with two 75 gallon 4'/21" high & save a hundred bucks. (any thoughts?)

ive got a couple 4 foot tanks and its a nice size but there are fish i can get in my 180 that would only live in a 4 foot tank for only a short while. the 180 is acylic though no way i would get something that big in glass.
My 190g glass tank weights about 300#'s empty. With the help of a heavy duty handtruck, I pretty much moved the tank into my house all by myself . I had one other person helping, but he didn't have to do much work.
The toughest thing about having 6ft tanks is manuvering the large canopy hoods on/off the top of the tank. All the extra effort is well worth it though.

I had one other person help me move my 6' 210g All-Glass tank around to the back of my house, up the stairs, and then down into the basement. He held one end and I the other.
I never want to move that tank again with less than 4 people, quite frankly. If I were to get anything larger, it would not be glass.
However, the bigger the better as far as I'm concerned with tanks.

ahh acrylic is a great suggestion for the weight issue,Il'e price them b4 getting the 75's & part of the reason for getting a new tank is because of a large fish I have (great point!)thanks ChefKeith,such a dilema!
