Ive never heard a negative thing about one. Ive never had any problems with mine. Do you own one, and for how long ? Ive heard they last a lifetime, and y ? I know there are alot of variables here, but what makes oceanic last so much longer ?

I don't know if they are the best, there are a few small aqaurium manufactuers out there that make some darn nice aquaiums... most of them over $1,000 for a small 30ish gallon size!

Oceanic IMO, are some of the 'best' name brand aquaiums you can buy because of the quality. They are more expensive, but for what you get, I think it's worth it! Ever compare glass thickness between an Oceanic and another of equal size? Oceanics have thicker glass! The supports and braces are much beefier than competitors and there trim looks good and strong, not cheesy. Also, I'm not sure about the glue/silicone they use, but it is some tough stuff!!

About 2 years ago, I bought a brand new Oceanic 55 gallon at an auction... paid $5 for it, it had a cracked back glass! I shopped and shopped to find a store that carried the same size glass... no one carried it! They use 5/16" glass on their 55 gallons where most others are 1/4". I finally went to 3/8" glass just to be on the safe side. Then I had to pull it apart and literally had to cut all the silicone, even the stuff between pieces of glass with a razor! I could not even pull the sides away from the back with out fear of breaking both of them! I finally got it all back together and never had a single problem with it!

I'm a fan of Oceanic for sure!

Eh...I dunno. I saw an Oceanic 72 bowfront, and the front seams where the rounded glass joins the sides didn't look as well joined as my All-Glass 72 Bowfront. There was a gap between the joints, like someone forgot to put an extra bead of sillicone.
