I have to reticulatus freshwater stingrays and one of them was showing signs of a fungal infection. Seems to me that he was a stressed since I had to move the whole gang to two different tanks in a short perios of time.
As recommended by my books :read: , I managed to keep good water conditions but the infection didn't go down  . So I decided to treat it with furan (nitrofurazone, furazolidone, blue) in a isolation tank since I suspected the fungus was a secondary infection to bacteria and it seems to be working. After 3 days of treatment the fungus is gone.
However, I'm not sure how safe is to madicate rays. Marine elasmobranchs are very delicate. Don't know for sure if freaswater ones are hardier. Few people has them around, and I want to hear your opinions. Anyone with experience, please, share your knowledge.
Sorry for misspeling, and thanks for your support.
