What is a sleeping cod? Never heard of one. If you know the scientific name, or another common name, we might be able to help.

I even ran "sleeping+cod" through www.google.com for you (do you know about Google?) and got no response. That's a bad sign, that the phrase "sleeping cod" doesn't appear on the worldwide web! A Cod is a coldwater marine fish after all. So your fish just isn't a "cod" even in the most informal terms...

How about sleepy/sleeper cod instead? FishBase returns this:
