what type of cucumber is this??? what care does it need : feeding, other supplements etc. thanks

I really couldn't say from the pic but, let me ask you a few questions please. Does it seem to filter feed," have lacy bits around it's mouth that it waves around in the water column and pull them through it's mouth"? Does it hang out on the bottom and act sort of like a mini earth mover? If it's a filter feeder it removes detriutus from the water column and would appreciate some target feeding of fine foods along with the occasional stiring of your sand bed. If it's a bulldozer it will rely on the organic materials in your sand bed. If it's a sand feeder you'll need to supliment it's diet until your tank matures.
Some cucumbers are really toxic any part of their body or a product of their body, eggs, sperms etc. consumed by a tank mate is enough to kill. Some like the sea apples take out whole tanks on a pretty regular basis. I'm not saying that it's a sea apple or a threat though on the whole cuc's are pretty good janitors and don't botter anything. Where did you get your rock? Are the cuc and the star both hitchhikers?
Good find probably

down one of the lfs, i just bought some base live rock. in that tank that they have (7ft) is full of starfish and cucumbers, around $20 ea, the person missed this one on the bottom. im gonna ring up a marine biologist and see what i need to do to keep it alive, even give it to him to look after for a while if i need to until my tank matures. the cuke just seems to moove around everywhere, mainly glass and rocks. it has spikes all over its body (not sharp to touch). i tried feeding it some prawn but no luck, ill try and feed some smaller food like brine shrimp. Does anyone have any other ideas to what its called???

It probably eats detriutus ,"rotter plant and animal matter", most of the cuces do. You can try algae tabs or other simalar products. Except for the suspension feeders ," who mostly eat pretty much the same stuff in a very different way" that's pretty much a universal in cuces.
Keep us posted
