Three books by Ad Konings that you might also find interesting:

Tanganyika Secrets, Tanganyika Cichlids, and Tanganyika Cichlids in Their Natural Habitat.

Ad Konings new book "Enjoying Cichlids" is a great "First cichlid book" for anyone interested. It covers cichlids from every corner of the globe, and is geared more toward captive husbandry of the species. Great tips on compatability, diet, breeding, min tank size, and all kinds of "tricks of the trade" that he and the other authors have learned over the years.
