Today i bought 2 Kribensis and 2 tigerbarbs. they are in a temporary 5 gallon tank just for today. and the barbs r swimming around fine but the 2 kribs arent. They r at the bottom colorless and havent moved for about 3 hours is something wrong w/ them?

Stress and shock did you float the bags before putting the fish in turning the light off would of helped too..

i left the bags next to the tank for about 20 min because there was a little whole in it and i didnt want the water in the bag to get in the tank. to i put the bag in the bowl or 20 min and i dont the temp of the tank is 78 w/o a heater (room temp) so i didnt see the importnace of floating the bag just for this time. and i did leace the light on for a while but i just turned it off about an hour ago.

they are in the big tank now and doing great...but i cant really tell the differance b/w the male and female if indeed one is a male and the onther a female. the guy at the lfs said one was male and the otehr female but they look a like. did they make a mistake..if someone could show some pics of a male and female that would be great!

Females are dumpier; males are much more straight top and bottom.
