Hey I was wondering how much 10-50 gallon aquariums cost. I am talking about just the tank. Also I am either looking for a 10 or a 30-50. I dont wana 20 because thats what I have. If I get a 10, I am gonna have to split some of my goldfish up because its getting overcrowded. So once again, 10 gallon or 30-50 gallon aquarium prices (just the tank), and please could you tell me if your price is US dollars or Canadian dollars.

PS. I am most likely gonna get it from Big Al's.

i can get up to a 60 gallons for $60. its 39 dollars if i drive to a further store

1) Classifieds in newspapers (i have 4 in my area that i check on a regular basis). If you are in a well populated area there might be more newspapers - and better chances to find something quick. Most of these newspapers have their classifieds online so you dont have to buy them

2) Aquabid (check for offers in your area)

3) Craigslist (same)

4) ebay (same)

5) LFS - sometimes sell used equipment

6) Dont know where you live - so this is a little seasonal - but garage/ rummage/ lawn/ moving sales (some of which might be advertised in 1) )

A 10 gallon tank is not sufficient for a Goldfish.

How many Goldfishes do you have in the 20 gallon tank, and for how long were they in there? Do you have anything else in there with them?

A common Goldfish needs 20 gallon for the initial fish, 15+ for any addition fish. These guys can get up to 12 inches. A Fancy Goldfish needs 30 gallon for the initial fish, 15+ for any addition fish. They can get up to 8-10 inches.

Goldfishes are very messy fish by nature. So that is why it is also recommended to have two times the filtration system. Here’s a more detail explanation; a 20 gallon tank will need a filter rated for a 40 gallon tank, a 30 will need one for a 60, a 40 needs an 80 rating and son on. Keep in mind that this rule is only valid for big messy fish likes Oscars, Goldfishes, fish that consume feeder fish, and so on.

This should help you determine what size tank to get for them next.

god you americans and canadians r lucky im just after spending 250 pounds on a 55 gal it comes with everything u need to start, but if they were as cheap where i live i would have a tank in every room.
