Finally sold my HB pastel guppy fry......got 15$ for the lot of them, enough to purchase some reef sand for the multis tank.

I set up the 10 gallon that the guppies were in for the multis. There's reef sand and crushed coral for substrate...a few fake plants...fake log thing and a small chunk of tufa rock.

It's still a bit cloudy yet, I'll probably add the fish tomorrow. I do want to eventually get these folks in a 15.....have to wait until I can come across one cheap...for now this is better than the 10 gallon they're sharing with the brevis. Now they all will have a bit more room to spread out ! :D

A note.......I took out the extension on the filter intake tube....with the way these multis throw the sand around....I want to be sure they don't clog the filter up...lol...if it were the brevis I wouldn't worry so much.

how 'bout the shells? i'd get rid of the log thing and add numerous shells that these fish can fit into. they need cover.

Lol.....I hadn't put them in the tank yet when I took that picture (I think I mentioned that).....I only just set it up.

They're in there now, with thier babies and thier shells and the water has cleared up nicely.....

I think I'll keep the log thing in there for now....they seem to like it and I don't know about anyone else, but I have to have something green in my fishtanks....lol....that'll have to do for now. I'll get a little more creative when I get a 15 for them. With a bigger footprint I can do a bit more...probably get a few more of the tufa rocks with a few fake plants here and there...but just a few.

I don't have nearly enough shells for them yet....working on that....some places want like 2$ for ONE shell...(nope!) Found 4 of those for 50cents a piece and a few of them were gotten from the beach.

I'll tell ya, for movin...these fish are the best ! Just have to stick you hand in the tank and grab a shell....and you've got a fish ! I used a walmart betta bowl to set the shells/fish in with some tank water to transfer them to the new tank....no problem getting the fry either.

Thanks Fred !

Yeah, the water is crystal clear too ! I just LOVE that ! lol...

For a filter I'm using a mini penguin bio-wheel and I have a bag of gravel in as well, that was in the tank when I had the guppy fry in it. (it's behind the tofa rock) I'll take that out in a couple of weeks, when I'm sure the new substrate/coral is seeded with plenty of bacteria...(can't wait, ugly thing)

I noticed 2 of the fry have settled down underneath the tofa rock. I saw another one under the log thing...I should have 5 all together, but so far have only seen the 3. Hopefully they all made it over OK..

Looks like I'm off to a good start on my multi community !!
