I don't read Non-Sequitur, but my son pointed that specific comic out to me, because I have this big notice on the door: It is our policy NOT to listen or give to door-to-door (or telephone) solicitations, no mater how worthy we believe the cause. If you want to ring and have the door closed on you, then go right ahead. I work at home (in the basement) and it is a real pain to run upstairs to answer the door if it's not somebody I want to see. Just having "no solicitors" didn't do much. Has the new sign helped? I still do get some but I don't think as much as I used to.
