I've got a nice planted 75g community tank that has quite a few snails and they're beginning to multiply. (go figure :joke: )

I'm lightly stocked right now so I'm thinking about adding a loach or so. Right now I'm thinking yoyo or zebra. Does anyone here have much experience with them? Do they absolutly have to be in groups of 3 or more? Will they eat every single snail in the tank? I wouldn't mind having a few around. Clown loaches are out. I don't want a fish that big in my tank.

Any other options would be considered as well if anyone has any. I have 5 fancy guppies in there so any type of fin nipper would be out too. As for the other fish, I have 6 ots, 1 clown pl*co, 3 albino cory and 3 rasboras.

Zebras and yoyo's should do the trick. Some snails may survive but I wouldn't count on it. While they can live without a group you may never see them. They tend to only get brave and adventurous when others are around so a group is kind of a must.

Yeah, zebras and yo-yos should eat them. As TKOS said, get groups, otherwise you will never see him. I have a kuhli loach, and before I bought him a friend I never saw him.

You could put a piece of lettuce in your tank overnight and the snail should get on their to eat it and in the morning just take the piece of lettuce out with the snails.
