I know kribs are african riverines (so pH7 or lower) but I was wondering if some of my juvenile fry can survive in an alkaline water tank. The tank was originally intended for africans so has pH of 8 and kH of 12d.
With slow acclimation should they have any problem?
Thanks

the pH of my tank is 7.6 and my kribs seem to be doing great. theyve bred at least 4 times since Halloween and are preparing for the 5th.

I think my water is pretty close to 8 and my babies are doing just fine! I don't think it should cause problems. I think I did read somewhere that extreme hardness and high pH can cause fertilization to be lower, though.
