Do you (on occasion) hand feed your fish? If so, tell the species and what food.

I'm semi hand feeding:
Im trying a new food, its Omega 1 w/ garlic, and the fish have never seen flakes before. So, I put my fingertips in the tank to sink the food, and the fish came really close to my fingers. One even took a flake from them!

Depends on the fish. Anything with teeth, I won't hand feed. Teaching fish with teeth to associate your hand with food results in trouble when cleaning. I was trying to get a burrfish to eat, and was holding a chunk of raw shrimp in front of him, and got nailed by the trigger. While the trigger had been nippy before, this made him impossible to deal with--you couldn't put a finger in the tank without him biting. The burrfish learned the same lesson, but his teeth are far enough back that he never got skin.

Smaller fish warrant caution as well--tangs and angels are all armed with blades, and these can break the skin if the fish decides to really hit you.

I do hand feed my FW zigzag eel. No teeth, small mouth. He swims into my hand and eats just about anything I'm holding.

I usually break up frozen food with my fingers at the top of the tank, and the fish congregate there. The clowns have always been grabby, but the foxface has recently taken to nipping pretty hard.

I hand-feed my 10 gallon community...literally. When I put the food in, sometimes I'll stick the tip of my finger in, and they think its food and nibble it. Its fun! :)

I have always hand fed all of my triggers without a problem. I hand fed an imperator angel.I hand feed my 3ft.Zebra with no problems.
I've only had one fish that I won't hand feed, for good reason. My snowflake eel.
This guy was by far my favorite to feed.He would pull a tiny marine pellet out of my fingers. These guys are as good as triggers.
