Can someone please ID this coral?

got a coral question?

Hey ya'll, I just bought a distressed coral last night, not sure what kind it is, it is purple and it has little tubes growing from the live rock, when I get back home I will take a picture and post it. My question is what can I do to bring it back to good health, the place where I bought it didn't have the correct lighting that it needed, thanks for the help! :help:

What kind of coral is this and does it look, healthy or distressed, and if distressed what can I do to bring it back to good health?

Looks like button polyps, but I am not sure what kind because they are not open.

Suggestion, medium/high light and low current to get it to open up then repost the picture.

Direct power head away from them, they dont need nor probably want strong current. And they look healthy from what I can tell, but again, they aren't open.

If they seem to slime alot, with a white/clear slime stringing off of them, then they may be sick, if they are closed it is because of bad lighting or water flow or bad water qualities or they are being harrassed by something.

Looks like a button polyp of somesort--hard to tell, since they aren't extended. Maybe brown?

mgournda, I got this little guy a couple of days ago, and I think it's sick, the LFS didn't have the proper lighting. Since I brought it home, it has been opening up a little bit more every day, they have not opened up fully yet, will it take some time? Is there anything I can do to get it back to full health?
