Hi everyone! I am new to this hobby, I am learning a lot from reading all this information. I would like to get a 100 - 120 gal. tank but I am concerned were in my house I could put it as it will weigh over a 1000 lbs. I have a room all picked out but I am concerned about the floor. Thank you!

Is the house built on a slab, Meaning there's concrete under the flooring, or do you have a basement or crawlspace.

figure about 12 lbs per gallon total weight (water, tank, substrate, equipment...). You should be fine wether you are on slab, craqwl space, or foundation. The load should be distributed well enough to avoid problems.
