I live in UK and we have weird weather. At the momentt below freezing where i live. I get fluctuations of around 3 degs f and everyone seems just fine with that.

I stick the heating on for an extra hour if It's a particulary cold night and keep my room at 68f which keeps my tanks stable @ 81f

yes.

when looking at temps as they relate to species there a a couple of basic things to keep in mind.

-the temp listed at a particular site may have been one that was exactly half way between the high and the low.

-the temps listed represent a range of temps found in the river the fish call home.

-that the differences in temps shown have greater diurnal shifts than seasonal shifts.

-some species have a greater ability to survive large swings, or simply higher, in temps.

What does that mean? The water temp in the natural habitat swings many degrees every day and night as it goes through the warming up and cooling down phases.

Your fish will be fine with that change in temps since it is a gradual and not instant shift.
