I just got a pair of rams, very tiny ones, on sunday. I noticed later in the day that there is a lcouple of ittle white spots on one of thier tails. Looks more like fungus then ick. Should I just let it go or should I treat him with something. I don't want to take him back to the store because it's really far and I don't want to cause the poor little guy any extra stress.
Also I'm wondering if keyhole cichlids would be good tank mates for the rams.

Fungus is usually a secondary infection, and it looks like cotton wool. I'd be inclined to medicate, because rams are not particularly disease resistant.

Rams are extremely sensitive to medications. If they seem ok otherwise I would not medicate, only carefully watch. If the rams seem stressed you could try medicating with 1/2 strength medication.
