I am feeding a group of Damsels both flake and frozen brine shrimp. They seem to love it but I have read in several places there is no nutritional value to brine shrimp. Does anyone have any opinions on what would be best.
No frozen brine are the fishy equivalent of potato chips they provide very little in the way of nutritional value . If you raise them and feed them as hatched or feed them a balance diet that's a different story. Freshly hatched baby brine have quite a bit of nutrients left over from their yolks but, the adults don't. You'd probably be better off feeding mysis or other more complete food sources .
I'd try to feed them as wide a variety of foods as possible if you do they'll stay healthy and live a lot longer. I prefer frozen or freeze dried over flake fwiw.

Well, chopped raw sea foods are good ," shrimp , fish, squid, nori etc," don't puree it too much you don't want it to be a liquid. There are also numerous pre made frozen and freeze dried foods but, I like to use my own that way I know what my babies are geting. You can also suppliiment with food products like brewers yeast, hufa , etc.
Try for as wide a variety as possible there are all sorts of premade frozen and freeze dried foods out there.
