thats what it looks like when i drill pvc at work, not saying thats it, but looks just like it. do you buy RO or filter it yourself, if you filter, do any of the components contain plastic?

It almost looks like a piece of teflon tape to me. Have you tried fishing it out yet to see if it is hard like a shell (or skeleton) or soft like a piece of plastic or tape?
