Does anyone know if there is an easy way to tell the sexes apart for White Cloud Mountain Minows? I hear they are easy to breed and when I get my next batch I hope to get some females. Right now I just have 2 males that are competeing over nothing. That is unless they like to compete for the right to get close to the Cory.

Thanks

You can use the bent line method. Supposedly the females have a bent line instead of a straight one. HTH

I cheated and just bought ten of them. Normally females ready to breed are chubby. Problem is if left alone they are continually breeding like danios, and the females never build up weight. If you could seperate them out you might be able to tell. Normally large groups are best though. Of course from 10 originals I now have 23 of the little buggers. So yes they are easy to breed. Easiest is in a bucket in your back yard with floating plants and lots of food. I've never seen them breed in a tank, though they won't eat teh eggs, and tankmate will.
