Some LFS's fail to understand the way to make money.
You need to know your customers needs, and you need to satisfy them.
Having only a few types of filters and charging a large amount for them is going to satisfy no one. I bet that LFS wont be around long. Unless there making money off other pet supplies or on livestock sales.

Still an extremely poor business model.
American shoppers are the best educated in the world. We spend more time "price shopping" than anyone. They must be hoping on the "uninformed" to buy them at that price. I doubt there are many sales.

I was in a pet suplies store today that was trying to sell AC300s for $48. I think I bought mine for about $19.

Are they in Orland Park? How could they possibly think that they could sell fish products for exorbitant prices if in the Chicago 'Burbs? Shop around, my man, there are plenty of GREAT stores out by you! (ChilDawg thinks that anything in the Chicago 'Burbs is by you, but you get my point...)

Sorry...I'm from the "other" part of Illinois and don't know any better!!! Byron in 15 mi. SW of Rockford and Bloomington, is, well, in the Center, so I have limited 'Burb experience. Sounds like on-line ordering might be your best answer if the shipping charges don't push the prices too high!
