New Life Spectrum
I raised my babies on New Life Spectrum Growth and beefheart.
I also babysat some other fish and converted them to NLS while I had them.
Just drop maybe 3 or 5 pellets in the tank first thing in the morning when the fish are hungry. The bravest will venture out and investigate, tasting the food and spitting it out. This will make the next bravest fish rush out to grab some of whatever he has, so the first will swallow it and fight for the rest of it. Wait a long time before you offer other food, 1/2 hour or so or until the pellet is gone.
Do this for 3 or 4 days in a row. Eventually all the fish will rush the pellets and you can offer more. Do not feed too much, scarcity is part of the plan, it makes them fight over it. If any remains in the tank, vac it up. (of course, you must have a bare bottom tank!)
NLS growth is higher protein and a bit softer than the NLS discus formula which holds up better to sitting around on the tank floor for a while as they get around to eating it all after fighting about it first.
