I have been out of the hobby of keeping cichlids for about a year now and decided to jump back in. I know that I want to stay with African Cichlids and here is my problem.

I have an an empty 46 gallon bow front tank with everything I need to get in going again. I also have a brand new 120 gallon long tank that I really want to be a center piece. I still have get all of the filters, lighting, heaters, ect... Now what do I do? Do I use the 46g for a grow out tank? Or do I connect the two tanks together via a PVC waterbridge? Both will be kept in the basement and placed close together. Both have nicly finished oak stands and I want both to look good. Here is another idea. Maybe keep a school of yellow labs in the 46g and a compatable mix in the 120g. Any thoughts would be great.
