They Are The Coolest! I Knew Absolutely Nothing About Them At First. Did My Research And They Seem To Be Doing Very Well. I Can Sit There And Watch Them Eat For Hours. Very Cool Fish
 
You can catch them in some of the rivers here in North Carolina (they travel miles inland) but it would be easier to get some from the fish store.
 
yeah we catch them in the saltwater here in new york. but those guys get big. my friends wife caught one that was like 10lbs and 21" long last year on my boat. not the type to keep in tanks! lol
 
that would be a fluke, :) i'm an avid NYC fisherman as well
 
The fish you have in your tank is a 'hogchoker' (at least it looks like one) and they are commonly sold as 'freshwater flounder' in the US and Canada
