My biggest tank is a 55 gallon freshwater tank with one 12" plecostomus, three 5" bala sharks, and two 5" giant danios.
Filtration: UGF with 2 powerheads
Substrate: Medium to large size gravel
Heater: 200 watts
Lighting: A double 48" light strip (purchased at the hardware store)
Plants: 2 large "plastic plants" (I don't know the real name - these are broad-leaf plants with a slight waxy coating and strong roots and stems. None of my fish will touch them.) I also have some hygro but it's not looking so hot.

I also have a 29 gallon freshwater tank with five blue tetras, four congo tetras, three cardinal tetras, two silver-tipped tetras, two blind cave fish, one Columbian red and blue tetra, and one cory.
Filtration: An Aquaclear 150 filter - I only use the sponge part, no charcoal - thinking of switching to the Penguin Bio-Wheel 170
Substrate: Fluorite
Heater: 200 watts
Lighting: A single 36" light strip
Plants: Java ferns, Java moss, anubias nana, crypts

My smallest (and coolest!) tank is a 20 gallon African Lake tank. I have three ocellated shelldwellers and two guppies in there.
Filtration: One Penguin Bio-Wheel 170
Substrate: Black sand
Heater: 150 watts
Lighting: A single 24" light strip
Plants: Java moss, fake plants (it's hard to find plants that can grow in there!!)
***pH: about 8.2
***Lake Tanganyika salts used
