I thought this's suppose to be a fast growng easy to keep plant. but my just rotted its way through and i had to throw it away. my tank water is on the acidic side, would that be the problem?

How much light do you have and what size is your tank?

That tank is 15g with a single light strip, so it's low light (1.5 wpg) but I'm going to upgrade it to 2wpg soon. Eventhough it's low light I didn't expect it to die in less than two weeks. Would buildup of organic matters be a problem? I planted in the corner so it doesn't get much water current.

Organic buildup would be deadlier to the fishes than plants, but if there is alot of algae on the plant it will deprive it of light and nutrients.
